Compromise - strength or light weight

Which tent I should take to the upcoming Western Arthurs hike in South Western Tassie? All tents are a compromise between weight and strength (and also cost).

A single pole or tunnel type tent are generally lighter (this is the Hilleberg Akto and Terra Nova Laser Competition). At the other end of the scale are the geodesic (or partly) domes such as the Hilleberg Soulo and the Terra Nova superlight quasar.

This video is turning me off the Akto in strong winds that we expect.

I guess Annette that since both brands are from Europe that they're too 'posh' (ie expensive) for you?

Helsport also makes very good tents http://www.helsport.com/helsport/ but they are expensive too. The Hilleberg Keron is also a good 3 person 4 season tent.
